What’s better to rent, furnished or unfurnished?

It’s something of a difficult choice for many renters. Should they take the fully furnished property so that they can save themselves a packet in white goods and sofas etc or do they bring their own things. There are many plus and minus points over each choice and both types of property can be attended to by a decent Property Inspection app to ensure that the property is recorded properly.

The main question stems from whether or not you actually have a lot of stuff to bring with you. If you do then a furnished place is probably not what your looking for. Simply put your items will need to go into storage. On the other hand if you do not have a lot of baggage and/or you were looking to ditch what you had anyway, then the furnished property sounds like a winner as it allows you to save up for something better.

However, you must take into consideration the fact that all this new stuff belongs to the landlord and therefore it has to be looked after as well. It can be hard enough to maintain a place without furnishings and all it takes for some misplaced tomato sauce  and the deposit is gone, or at least greatly reduced.
