Tips for using your dishwasher

  1. Reduce the amount of dishwasher detergent you use

We use way too much detergent in our dishwashers. Not only is it expensive, but using too much detergent will also cause our glasses to become cloudy or scratched. You need less detergent than what the package suggests, whether you use liquid, powder or pods.

  1. Place the plates in the middle

You want to fill the dishwasher with plates, cutting boards, sheet pans and so on in the middle of the dishwasher. The spray will be applied correctly. For a Fully Integrated Dishwasher, visit https://www.wellingtonshomeelectrical.co.uk/dishwashers/fullsize-dishwashers/fully-integrated.html

  1. Every now and then, add a bowl of vinegar

You may notice that dishes and glasses become cloudy or have spots when you have hard water in your area. What is the easiest solution? Pour a bowl of vinegar onto the top rack and run the cycle. This will act as a rinsing aid and help to remove hard water stains.

  1. Consider a rinse aid

Rinse aid will also help to dry your dishes faster, especially if you are skipping your heat cycle in order to save energy or you find that your dishes remain wet after your heat cycle is complete.

  1. Use a mesh bag

Mesh laundry bags are designed to protect unmentionables and delicate items in the washer. However, they can be used in the kitchen. Place one on top of the rack and fill it with small items. This will keep them from being lost.

  1. A wire dish rack is also available

Items that are too large for a mesh bag, but not so big that they will flip during a wash cycle will fit in a dish rack. Use it as a way to secure items by turning it upside-down.
